Meet Alexander Fromm

Alexander Fromm Lurie is the founder and leader of The Lurie Group, a nationally recognized real estate team. Recognized among the top 300 teams nationwide and the top 100 in California by Real Trends, The Lurie Group has facilitated over 500 home sales, exceeding $1 billion in total volume in San Francisco. In 2024 alone, the group oversaw $152 million in home sales, including the sale of Annie Leibovitz’s home, as featured by The Wall Street Journal.

Born in San Francisco and raised in Marin County, Alexander is a trusted and results-driven San Francisco real estate agent known for his discretion and expertise. He consistently delivers exceptional outcomes for his clients, such as the $5.995 million sale of 2374-2376 Greenwich Street, which closed at $1 million more than his client had paid just a year earlier—a 20% gain in 12 months. His record-setting sales and efficient transactions have earned him a reputation for excellence.

Alexander’s professional background combines management consulting at Oliver Wyman with entrepreneurial success as the founder of a marketing company he later sold. This unique experience equips his clients with a competitive edge in negotiation, valuation analysis, and strategic home marketing.

Son of Rabbi Brian Lurie and Caroline Fromm Lurie and grandson of Alfred and Hanna Fromm, the stage was set early for Lurie’s drive toward community service. He has served on the Board of Directors for both the Jewish Community Federation and JCRC in San Francisco and is the immediate past Chair of the Regional Leadership Council for the Birthright Israel Foundation. His contributions to the community earned him the Lloyd W. Dinkelspiel Award for Young Leadership.

Alexander is the brother to Sonia, Daniel, and Ari Lurie and a proud uncle to six. Outside of work, he is an avid cyclist, nature enthusiast, and passionate live music fan. He graduated from Northwestern University in 2006 and attended The Thacher School in Ojai, California, for high school. Alexander and his wife, Danielle, live near Buena Vista Park in San Francisco.
